Obertauern presented this top-class event to its guests for the second time  from the 10th to the 13th of April 2008!

On the Gamsleiten 2, the secret “landmark” of Obertauern and one of the most attractive ski runs in Europe – Austria’s largest treasure hunt took place in the snow. Numerous treasure chests were buried in the snow along the ski run in marked zones. The aim of participants on skis was to find the coveted treasure chests.

The Gamsleitencriterion was not only fun for the participants, but also a visual spectacle for the onlookers. At the start of the event, the Gamsleiten 2 was dyed a deep blue with food colour. The downhill, treasure-hunting skiers left trails and patterns on the coloured surface. At the end, this mighty slope was once again snow-white.

Highlight:
Prior to our last Gamsleiten Criterion "Ö3-Wecker Star" Robert Kratky jumped into an icy lake and looked for one of the 25 treasure chests. Afterwards the box get burrowed at the Gamsleiten 2 and waited for its lucky finder.
