The next generation in downhill racing
The Obertauern Ski Club was founded in 1970 and presently contains about 420 members. Essentially, it concentrates on the advancement of children and youngsters, whether skiers or snowboarders. In today's world, Obertauern Ski Club aims to bring the ideals of winter-sports closer by instilling young people with genuine enthusiasm.
Obertauern has superb snow conditions, the winter season ski-lifts start running at the end of November and only stop at the beginning of May. There is also no lack of role models, the most successful members of the club being the snowboarders Heidi and Doresia Krings and the world-class ski star Heinz Schilchegger.
The Obertauern Ski Club aims to insill not only locals but also guests with enthusiasm in order to form a more intensive connection with the town and club.
