Advent Trail in the Untertauern Wildlife Park

Experience the magical spirit of Advent in the heart of nature!
On two atmospheric evenings – Monday, 8 December, and Monday, 22 December 2025 –
the Wildlife Park Untertauern transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland.
Along the 2 km circular trail, you’ll discover eight beautifully designed stations featuring peaceful music, heartfelt readings, traditional crafts, regional delicacies, and special experiences for children.
For your convenience, a shuttle service operates during opening hours from Tweng and Obertauern to Untertauern and back.

🕰️OPENING TIMES from 4.30 until 8.00 pm
Station 1 – Welcome
A warm reception with in a festive Christmas atmosphere.
Station 2 – Reading (from 5:00 p.m., every half hour)
Reflective stories and poems for the Advent season.
Station 3 – Culinary Delights
Delicious treats, mulled wine, and children’s punch.
Station 4 – Brass Music
Christmas tunes by the brass ensemble create a festive mood.
Station 5 – Woodcraft
Handcrafted wooden artworks – traditional and unique.
Station 6 – Christ Child Workshop & Mailbox
Children can send their wishes directly to the Christ Child.
Station 7 – Swiss pine products
Discover the enchanting scent of Swiss pine.
Station 8 – Performance (5.30, 6.30 and 7.30 pm)
A small surprise on stage – music, theater, or dance.
Questions & Answers
- Sturdy shoes / winter boots: The trail may be snowy or slightly slippery. ❄️🥾
- Warm clothing: Jacket, hat, scarf, and gloves for a cozy walk outdoors. 🧣🧤
- Flashlight or headlamp: Useful for darker areas or atmospheric light stations. 🔦
- Small change / cash: For mulled wine, children’s punch, or small treats at the stations. 💶
- Backpack: For personal items, children’s gear, or small purchases. 🎒
- Stroller-friendly? – Note: The circular trail may be uneven; consider a baby carrier or sled for little ones. 👶
