In 1965, the legendary Beatles made Obertauern the location for the filming of their second movie “Help”. Their stay in the middle of the snow-covered Alps and their only concert in Austria are unforgettable chapters in music history.

In honor of this special anniversary, we invite you to a unique event on March 28, 2025: A Symphonic Tribute to the Beatles in Obertauern.

The renowned Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of conductor Elisabeth Fuchs, together with celebrated soloist Monika Ballwein, will present the Fab Four's greatest hits in an impressive musical performance.

Look forward to a journey through the timeless classics of the Beatles, interpreted by 46 talented musicians. Experience two hours of unforgettable melodies in a breathtaking setting that made history 60 years ago.

Elisabeth Fuchs, conductor

The Austrian-born Elisabeth Fuchs studied orchestral conducting, oboe, music education, and mathematics at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, the Paris-Lodron University Salzburg, and the Cologne University of Music. She is the chief conductor of the Philharmonie Salzburg and the Burgenland State Orchestra and collaborates actively with renowned orchestras such as the Stuttgart Philharmonic, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, and Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.

Elisabeth Fuchs has a passion for pushing musical boundaries, leading to unique collaborations with artists like Stjepan Hauser (2Cellos), the David Orlowsky Trio, the Klazz Brothers, Rolando Villazón, Iris Berben, and many more. A key focus of her work is participatory music education, exemplified by choral projects involving over 300 participants and intensive work with children and young people.
