Wissenswertes über die "Lungau Pop Factory"
The “Lungau Pop Factory” is a biennial project of the Lungau Cultural Association, in which selected musicians from the Lungau region—from the Querschläger to the Lungau Big Band and covering all genres in between and beyond—create evenings dedicated to special themes in pop music history.
After “50 Years of Woodstock” in 2019, “Club Session Love Songs” in 2021, and “Beatlemania entan Tauan” in 2023, the spotlight is now on the music of the 1970s—the decade in which the stylistic diversity of pop music truly exploded.
This time, the 17-member ensemble will present a selection of songs ranging from rock classics and funky high-energy numbers to soulful and folk-inspired ballads, arranged for a large rock band with a brass section—providing all the ingredients for a truly special evening.
What makes this project particularly remarkable is the diversity and range of this eclectic group, as well as the friendly collaboration, where everyone simply comes together to make great music and have fun.
The youngest band member is 21, the oldest 72, and the ensemble brings together many interesting Lungau musicians from a wide variety of genres—from 1970s rock to jazz, classical, world music, and contemporary pop—on one stage:
