Here, children's dreams come true. You are welcome to discover different snow worlds at the family-friendly ski resort. The kids travel with Bobby, the snow bunny and local mascot of Obertauern, through the ski resort. Whether it's thrilling toboggan runs, enjoyable tobogganing, or protracted snowball fights, the winter vacation spot offers everything to get kids' hearts racing.

Bobby Land

Bobby the snow bunny, Obertauern's beloved mascot, officially opened the new "Bobby Land" in December 2019 along with his friends and a large number of guests during a large family celebration.

The little ones might await "Bobby's Monster Park," where funny figures and challenging puzzles are waiting for them. A wave run and a course have been set up for the older children. The activity "Bobby's Slalom" is a fun way for kids to practice using a bow and arrow. After that, if they need a break, they can relax and rehydrate in a nice lounge. A child igloo and the ski ghost train at the ski-through fairytale park at the Schaidbergbahn are additional attractions.

TAUERN ROUNDS FOR KIDS

The well-known and well-liked Tauernrunde is also offered in two versions for kids and teenagers that are tailored to the skill level and physical condition of young skiers.

The "Bobby-Round," named after the snow bunny mascot of the community "Bobby," provides a pleasant and interesting round for the younger kids.

For youngsters and teenagers who are more advanced, the "My Track" round provides a greater challenge and more enjoyment. Young visitors are encouraged to share their Obertauern experiences using the hashtag #LOVEOBERTAUERN on both rounds via a timed track, a ghost train, and a wave track.

“Bobby-Runde”

The “Bobby-Runde” (Bobby Round) is intended for our youngest skiers: a fun and easy slope for beginners to hone their skills. Kids can look forward to experiencing a ghost train and an enchanted forest, a wave course, and a pit stop at Bibo Bear’s. And who knows, maybe even our mascot Bobby the Snow Bunny drops by at some point.

My Track

More skilled boarders and skiers will get a kick out of “My Track”: a cool tour with lots of highlights. This tour has it all – from funslopes and a high-speed track, as well as the opportunity to meet other like-minded boarders and freeriders to chill with on a break at one of Obertauern’s rustic ski huts. After all, you have to recharge somewhere before you continue to My Track’s next stop!

For young ski bunnies, BobbyTV provides entertaining information in the form of animated movies

The 7 episodes, which cover subjects including correct warming up techniques, snow formation, and slope regulations, are broadcast each day (winter) on the nearby Panorama channel.

Colouring & Reading Fun

The "Bobby's colouring and puzzle fun" booklet was created with the goal to connect our young visitors in a joyful way closer to Austria's snowiest winter sports destination.

This booklet includes entertaining crossword puzzles and numerous coloring pages of Bobby the snow bunny, who serves as the town mascot and whom we wish to introduce to our visitors even more. Additionally, we wrote a Pixi book with a sweet tale about our Bobby and his house. These books are available at the tourist information center without charge.
