If you still really feel like skiing in late winter, then you are exactly right with us in Obertauern in SalzburgerLand! The Tauernrunde can be fully skied until April 18. Here you will find all open lifts always at a glance. And if you still haven't had enough, further lifts are available until May 2. You can rent the perfect equipment until the end of the season at our well-equipped ski shops.

Obertauern is Austria's snowiest winter sports resort – and this is even proven! According to a study published in 2016 by Tyrolean ski tourism researcher Günther Aigner, Obertauern leads the ranking of the seven snowiest winter sports resorts in Austria with an average maximum snow depth of 264 centimeters. The abundant natural snow is thanks to a special weather constellation in the Tauern, where snow clouds from the north and south meet and generously distribute the white flakes over Obertauern.
In recent years, especially in April, we have repeatedly enjoyed the best snow conditions.

Numerous ski huts invite you to sit on the terraces on sunny days. You are pampered all around with traditional dishes, regional products, and homemade schnapps. For the party animals among us, some ski huts offer the best Après-Ski parties to dance along.
