Due to its reliable snow conditions in late winter, the Beatles chose Obertauern as the filming location for the ski scenes in their feature film Help! – and for a few days, the quiet village turned into the center of pop culture.

Review: Events for the 60th Anniversary 2025
Last year we celebrated together the 60th anniversary of Help! – an unforgettable highlight for all fans of The Beatles.
As part of a special photo exhibition, visitors were able to discover rare shots of the legendary band and deeply immerse themselves in the spirit of the 60s. The pictures offered exciting insights into a time that made music history.
Another highlight was the movie night with the cult classic Help!, which delighted with lots of humor, charm, and of course unforgettable music. The shared time in front of the screen created a great atmosphere and awakened many beautiful memories.
The atmospheric conclusion was formed by an exciting reading from a new book about the band. With interesting background stories and new perspectives on the Beatles era, the evening was perfectly rounded off.
It was an all-around successful event where we celebrated the music that still connects generations today and has left a lasting impact on the world.
