In the 2026/27 winter season, a one-day ski pass costs €72. Hourly, points-based and multi-day passes are also available. As prices vary depending on the season, check the current ski pass prices before your day on the slopes.
You can buy your ski pass in advance from the online ticket shop or directly in Obertauern. There are ticket offices at all 11 access points to the ski area, as well as an additional ticket office at Raiffeisenbank Lungau.

Yes. The ski area offers slopes for different ability levels as well as dedicated children’s ski areas. Several ski schools in Obertauern can help you learn your first turns or improve your technique.
You can start the Tauernrunde from almost anywhere in the ski area. Thanks to the circular layout of the lifts and slopes, you can conveniently return to your starting point after completing the circuit.
Ski passes valid for 1.5 days or more can be used in both the Obertauern ski area and the Grosseck-Speiereck ski area, around 15 kilometres away. Ski passes valid for up to and including one day are only valid in Obertauern.
Yes. During the winter season, night skiing is available at the Edelweissbahn on Mondays and Thursdays from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A floodlit slope of around 1,500 metres is open for night skiing. Be sure to check the current operating days in advance.
For the 2026/27 winter season, skiing is scheduled to continue until 2 May 2027. The full Tauernrunde is expected to remain open until mid-April. Which lifts and slopes are actually open depends on current snow and operating conditions.
